In the third quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Belgium showed varied trends across the top five applications, based on data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the performance of each app in terms of weekly downloads and active users.

Uber - Request a ride saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, beginning the quarter with about 9K and peaking at 11.8K in early September. The app’s active user base experienced a steady increase from approximately 195K at the start of July to over 207K by late September.

Bolt: Request a Ride maintained a consistent download rate initially, with a significant rise reaching 11.8K in mid-September. Active users also grew steadily, starting at around 34.6K and climbing to over 40K during the same period.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a decline in downloads throughout the quarter, from 2.3K in early July to just over 1K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from roughly 5.8K to 4.8K.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a relatively stable download pattern, ranging between 1.4K and 1.9K. The app's active users remained consistently above 21K, peaking at nearly 22.2K in early September.

Finally, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus downloads decreased from 1.5K in July to under 800 by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a gradual decline from 8.3K to 7K over the same period.
